Dancing Through the Night
We danced away the midnight moon,
Talked the stars from the velvet sky
And with the blanket of dawn mist
Tucked beneath our weary chins,
Closed our eyes on the waking world
And slept in yesterdays’ shoes.

It is one of my favourites actually and is one that I read out at a poetry evening and one lady liked it so much she wanted a copy - which was rather nice.
